Jet footage deepens dispute over Moraes’ ties to Vorcaro-linked aviation
The accounts agree that Alexandre de Moraes and Viviane Barci de Moraes used a jet operated by a company linked to Daniel Vorcaro, but they differ over the implication: critics see the footage and messages as challenging earlier denials, while the law office describes routine commercial travel without a personal relationship.
Video recorded at Rio de Janeiro’s Santos Dumont Airport in August 2025 showed Supreme Federal Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes and his wife, lawyer Viviane Barci de Moraes, disembarking from a jet operated by Prime Aviation. At the time, Daniel Vorcaro, the former controller of Banco Master, was still associated with the company.1
Viviane Barci de Moraes’ office confirmed that it had hired air-taxi services from Prime Aviation and that Moraes accompanied his wife on some trips. But it said the company selected the aircraft, that bookings followed “operational criteria,” and that no personal relationship with aircraft owners or operators was involved. The office also said Vorcaro, or anyone outside the office, was not aboard flights taken by its members.1
Reporting based on Federal Police material places a sharper focus on the arrangement. Messages cited in one account show that, while seeking an aircraft for his own trip on August 21, 2025, Vorcaro was told that the PP-NLR jet had a scheduled “Barci” flight the following day. He reportedly replied: “Do not fail to serve Barci,” and sought another option for himself.2
Other coverage presents the footage as conflicting with Moraes’ earlier statement that he had never flown on Vorcaro’s aircraft. It also points to police material concerning a proposed deal involving aircraft shares and a legal-services contract, while noting the office’s position that the aircraft-share proposal was never accepted or signed.3
The disagreement therefore turns less on whether the couple used the jet than on how to characterize it: opponents treat the images and messages as evidence of a closer connection, while the office says they document a conventional commercial service. Commentator Rodrigo Constantino highlighted that the footage was first reported by Globo, underscoring the attention drawn by the video.
