Federal Police say messages reviewed in the Banco Master investigation indicate that members of a group known as the “Turma” discussed seeking support from the Primeiro Comando da Capital (PCC) for former banker Daniel Vorcaro during his detention in Guarulhos in November 2025.¹

According to the police account, Luiz Phillipi Mourão, known as Sicário, and Manoel Mendes Rodrigues, known as Manolo Dom, discussed ways to ensure Vorcaro’s safety inside the provisional detention centre. The conversations, as described by investigators, present the proposal as an attempt by associates to signal to other detainees that Vorcaro had backing outside the prison.

One message drafted for what was described as the PCC’s internal coordination referred to Vorcaro as an ally: “He is our friend and supports our group and our regional operation in various ways.”¹ Manolo was said to have forwarded the message to a lawyer and asked that it be taken to contacts connected to organised crime. The lawyer reportedly replied that he could become involved but needed instructions on how to proceed.

The Federal Police’s interpretation is cautious in one key respect: the report says the exchanges may show that the group tried to activate PCC members, but does not conclude that the contact occurred or that protection was ultimately provided. It also records a reported R$10,000 transfer from Manolo to the lawyer the following day, without establishing its purpose in the account provided.¹

Vorcaro was released after the Federal Regional Court of the 1st Region granted him habeas corpus. Investigators are examining allegations that Manolo organised violent actions at Vorcaro’s direction; the report describes those allegations as part of the ongoing federal investigation, not as established findings.¹
